A new way of thinking…

Hooray for I am not that philosophical, but one thing I do know is that 1. I am grateful for all that I have 2. I will be open to new ways of thinking and inturn 3. will share that with you in new ways for me. Stay tuned for upcoming GODpillow YouTube videos.

Day 1

Working on connecting with all of you. Got ideas?

GODpillow has taken me places that I never thought I would be…sounds familiar??  Today life is like a blank canvas…in fact I have one (a blank canvas) on my wall to remind me that I do not have control of any day’s outcome.  Yes, I must admit I have control issues…I believe that since being on my knees, my spiritual life has greatly improved and that everyone should get on that “happy train”, but this is not always the case.  I have come to realize that this life is a journey… some get on the train at different times, some stay for the whole ride and some get off at different stops.

So today on the journey with GODpillow – I am stopping in to share with you all, that

if you are open and willing to listen to Good Orderly Direction, connect with the God of your understanding and practice doing the next right thing; no matter what befalls us…what leap of faith we take; two things will happen either 1. God will catch you or 2. God will teach you how to fly.

What if you don’t believe?…all I can say is…I am a person just like you.  If it works for me it will work for you. Practice being still, quieting your mind, which will  create the space for GOD to enter your heart.  This is the challenge I offer you.  Practice every morning silence…maybe after an inspirational reading, and end your day with Gratitude. Thank GOD (or your HP) for everything that has been given to you, everything that has been taken away and for whatever is left.  And let see what happens…what could go wrong?

Prayer and Sobriety

A recent study supports an interesting approach to curbing alcohol consumption: regular prayer. In surveys, people who reported praying more often also reported less alcohol consumption and fewer alcohol-related problems, and more prayer was associated with less consumption and fewer problems over the next several months. Of course, people who pray a lot may be less prone to drink anyway, so the researchers randomly assigned people to regular prayer or nonprayer tasks and then asked them to report their alcohol consumption after four weeks. Those who were assigned to pray drank significantly less than those who weren’t. [From Boston.com]
